Set Apart: Putting on our True Identity
During this year’s 7/8th Grade Girls Retreat, you will be inspired to stand in the identity Christ has given you and through that fully LIVE an engaged life for Christ. This weekend is geared to break down the lies that are holding you back and to encourage you to say yes to all that God has for you in this season. You will walk away from the retreat knowing that following Jesus is the greatest adventure you could ever have. Experience a weekend filled with impactful worship, reflection, and intentional small group time. This retreat will challenge and encourage you to embrace your faith as a young woman of God.
7/8th Grade Girls Retreat Information:
Retreat Location: Lake Geneva Christian Center | 605 Birch Ave, Alexandria, MN 56308
Nurse Check-In Station: If your student needs to bring any medications to the retreat, please check in with our nurse prior to your student’s departure at Door 1.
The Ride: Busses will stop for a restroom break. All students and leaders are expected to ride the bus with their small group.
Bring: Warm outdoor clothing (for outdoor activities), Bible, pen, flashlight, sleeping bag/pillow, toiletries, towels (including hand towel), extra shoes/boots, money for snacks, medications, water bottle.
Don’t bring: snacks with nuts, weapons, valuables, alcohol, tobacco, non-prescription drugs.
Diet Modification Requests:
In order to accommodate a special diet, Lake Geneva kindly asks that you fill out a dietary modification request form and submit it to Erin Maroney at firstname.lastname@example.org. Last minute requests cannot be guaranteed.
If you have concerns about a Registered Nurse administering ibuprofen, Benadryl or Tums to your child as needed, please email Erin Maroney, our Middle School Admin at (email@example.com).
Additionally, our nurse, Deb Smith, RN, BSN, ONC, will be available to discuss any questions/concerns you may have at retreat check-in (her email is firstname.lastname@example.org if you’d like to contact her ahead of time). She is also available to administer medications to students as needed. Bring medications you would like the nurse to administer directly to the nurse at retreat check-in, stored in a ziplock bag with student’s name, and administration schedule.
