In Acts 2, we’re given a glimpse into the early Church, told that this group of believers devoted themselves “to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals together (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer.” (Acts 2:42, NLT). By committing themselves to their faith and to one another, the Church grew in power and number. Lives were changed. People created genuine and Jesus-centered community. They’re a part of the vibrant story of the Church, but so are we. Once we believe we have a part to play, we start asking, “how do we build the Church today?” And even more so, “Why does it matter?” In this series, we’re answering those questions – rediscovering Why Church offers what nothing else can.
