Kids (6wks-5th grade)
Family Ministries is based on Isaiah 35, where God led His people out of captivity and into freedom. God not only leads His people out of captivity, but He designs the exact path on which they should travel into freedom. In Isaiah 35 this path is called the Highway of Holiness, where the righteous travel, and no harm will come to them if they remain on this road.
Our prayer is for this vision to empower and encourage families as they embark on this journey of discipleship and a relationship with Jesus. It’s our goal to help create a clear pathway for kids and their families.
Family Ministries is designed to partner with the parents' influence and spiritual development of their kids and students. Our age-specific ministries are identified by two areas to complement and support kids as they grow in their faith. These two areas of the kid's journey are:
- Introducing the Faith (6wks - 5yrs)
- Learning the Faith (k-5th grade)
Check out the video below to learn more about kid's services at Hosanna Church.
First Look | Introducing the Faith
First Look is a ministry for kids ages 6 weeks-5 years old held during weekend services. In First Look, kids learn age-appropriate lessons that introduce Jesus, His character, and what He has created. The weekly curriculum also features worship, storytelling, art, activities and open play. First Look meets during weekend services at all campuses. No prior registration is required.
Hosanna Kid's Church | Learning the Faith
Hosanna Kid's Church is a large-group ministry for grades k-5 that occurs during weekend services. Kids experience a 60-minute service created with them in mind and Jesus at the center. Services include worship, storytelling, games, and activities.
Parents drop-off and pick-up kids in the game room at the Lakeville & Shakopee locations, and by the main staircase at the Northfield location. Kids entering kindergarten in the fall remain in First Look until the school year begins. Hosanna Kid's Church meets during weekend services at all campuses. No prior registration is required.
HALO | Learning the Faith
HALO is our Wednesday night small group focused ministry for kids k-5th grade, offered at the Lakeville and Shakopee campuses. Kids will be placed with a group of other kids their own age, and a volunteer small group leader who facilitates the curriculum prepared by Family Ministries team. The curriculum includes games, activities, crafts and discussion questions. These weekly lessons encourage our kids to learn the faith and deepen their relationship with Jesus and their understanding of the Bible. The hour that we are together also includes live worship and engaging Bible teaching. Click here to register or learn more about HALO.
