Family Ministries

For the time being we have taken all student ministries into a digital format! We will release new videos on our YouTube channel Wednesdays at 7 PM, and include discussion questions for small groups, families and students to use when possible.

Experience Hosanna Kids Live

Weekend children's ministry programming will continue to be available at each of our four campuses. We will continue to follow the MN Department of Health's recommended safety policies and procedures and regularly assess the overall health and well being of our ministries.

Experience Hosanna Kids Online

Whether your family chooses to join us live or feel called to worship at home, we hope you will join us in this year's theme to Rise Up! This theme is all about identity and learning the truth about who God created us to be. When we have a firm foundation built on God's truth, we can rise above everything that might try to hold us back from living out the fullness of life that God has planned for us. God is calling us to RISE UP! Rise above the loud distractions and lies of this world and get our eyes and our hearts fixed on Him.

It's very simple:
1. Watch the weekly Rise Up Moment video HERE
2. Read that week's Bible story as a family and discuss the questions included in the video.
3. Encourage your child to spend some time each week, reflecting on God's word using their Rise Up booklet.

Rise Up booklets are available at all of our campuses, please stop by the children's ministry desk to pick one up. Or you can email us and we would be happy to mail one to you. We can also email you a printable version that you print and color at home.
Rise Up resources will be available for Hosanna Kids (pre-school) in January.

Hosanna Kids Mid-Week

Based on the current situation, we will not be re-introducing Hosanna Kids Mid-Week that meets on Wednesdays back into the building this season.  This will allow us to focus our efforts on the next phase of re-entry with the Hosanna Kids weekend ministry at our campuses and our Hosanna Kids Online presence for your family.

Hosanna Students Updates

Beginning September 23, Middle School and High School Ministries will be continuing our In-Person Services that all students are invited to attend. We will do our best to provide a safe environment that’s fun and full of Jesus! For families that would prefer to view online, services will be streamed live and can also be accessed and viewed later on-demand on our youtube channel at your convenience. We will also be continuing small groups to help young people embrace and live their faith in a group of their peers and led by an adult leader. Initially, those groups will take place outside our buildings - in green spaces, parking lots or other places in the community. Please click here for High School, and here for Middle School to register for the upcoming year - registering will give us an idea of who is planning on joining us whether in person, online or unsure. Our team and volunteers are so excited help every student embrace and live their faith this fall and beyond - let us know if you have any questions.

And a great road will go through that once deserted land. It will be called the Highway of Holiness...Those who have been ransomed by the Lord will return...Crowned with everlasting joy. Isaiah 35:8a, 10b

Family Ministries is based on Isaiah 35, where God led His people out of captivity and into freedom. God not only leads His people out of captivity, but He designs the exact path on which they should travel into freedom. In Isaiah 35 this path is called the Highway of Holiness, where the righteous travel and no harm will come to them if they remain on this road.

Our prayer is for this vision to empower and encourage families as they embark on this journey of discipleship and a relationship with Jesus. It’s our goal to help create a clear pathway for kids and their families.

Family Ministries is designed to partner with the parents' influence and spiritual development of their kids and students. Our age-specific ministries are identified by four areas to complement and support kids and students as they grow in their faith. These four areas of the journey are:

We have also identified the following important "mile markers" along this journey, that give kids the opportunity to grow in their relationship with Jesus:

Do you have a child going into Kindergarten this fall? We have an exciting celebration coming up for children entering kindergarten!
One of our mile markers here in Hosanna Kids is our Transition to Kindergarten event that is designed for children entering kindergarten in the fall. This mile marker serves to help children and parents with the program transition and connection from Hosanna Kids to Hosanna Kids Church.
What will the Transition to Kindergarten event look like this year? Based on so many changing elements with COVID-19, we have decided to do this a little differently this year. We will be doing individual home visits to the children entering kindergarten, to celebrate your child moving to the next phase in our Hosanna Kids Mile Markers. Every family will be able to sign up for time for one of our staff members to come to your house to give your child a Bible, certificate, and gift. We will also be able to answer any questions you may have for when your child begins attending Hosanna Kids Church. We care about your safety, so home visits will take place outside. Staff will also wear masks and gloves and will respect social distancing guidelines.
Registration is now closed for Transition to Kindergarten.

We are honored to partner with families as we travel on this journey with you.
