Canada Mission Trip Journal Entry July 2010

Pelican Narrows, Sask.

We got home Sunday night from our trip to Canada. Awesome time was had by all,31 of us all together 20 hours in the car up and back.You know how you kind of end up with a child or two that you really bond with, that for me is the little girl in the green shirt, her name is Taria. I met her while asking to see a photo our craft team had taken of her and glued on boards to hang on their wall. She would not let me see her photo, I asked many times and soon she was crying. I asked why I couldn’t see her photo and she told me she was too ugly, so now I’m crying with her and she melts into my arms and we just rock for about an hour, after two days of us being joined at the hip she holds out her picture and says look at me, a princess.We prayed with the gang leader of the village, and he will be providing security next year-Go God.We ministered at the crack house in the village and have two woman that want to help at the VBS bible school next year-Go God.We met with the two factions of the community that haven’t spoken in years, we prayed for reconciliation and restoration and by the end of the week they were shaking hands.These two villages are so ripe for God right now, it was an amazing time and we were all touched in powerful ways.
