Purchase Travel Insurance

Individuals/families can now purchase it on your own!

Volunteer Card

We are using a new travel insurance which allows coverage for an entire year. That means that you'd have travel medical insurance for all your trips (including personal vacations outside of MN) for one year. (Note: This is NOT trip cancellation insurance.) This insurance would cover you on your trips both inside and outside the USA. We strongly encourage this, because most health insurances do NOT cover you internationally, or don't provide the same coverage.

Please know that you might be asked to submit it through your primary insurance first, and then IVC deal with the unpaid costs.

Rules for utilizing this insurance:

  • Trips must be 60/90 days or less in length.
  • At least one of the trips must be for volunteer purposes (such as our Impact trips) or you must be an employee of a non-profit organization.

Click Here to Sign Up Now

  1. Select “TRAVEL INSURANCE”.
  2. Choose a plan - We require that you choose “Plus” or “Premium” (The basic plan does not cover much.) There is a discounted option for families.
  3. List Hosanna! as the “Volunteer organization”, not the partner ministry in the country of destination. This will expedite the process! They will ask for our web site: www.hosannalc.org.
  4. Once you sign-up, they might request some proof of affiliation with Hosanna! Hosanna! or your team leader will provide a letter as proof that you are serving in this capacity.

Additional Benefits:

All plans include special benefits. To see the full list of discounts (hotel, car rental, shopping…etc.), click on the DISCOUNT link on the web site. The best discount is 50% off Park ‘n’ Fly. That alone could pay for your card!

Bringing Money

It is best to always carry crisp, new bills into foreign countries. Many countries won't accept currency that is damaged or old.

Going into Tanzania or Kenya?
They are no longer accepting US Dollar Currency notes printed before the year 2000. Barclay’s bank in Tanzania and Kenya will be implementing a new policy whereby they will no longer be accepting US Dollar notes printed before the year 2000. People who carry US currency printed before 2000, will be compelled to accept a rate of exchange lower than normal.
