New Friends Community

Tuesday Evenings:

A weekly opportunity for people from our community to make new friends, and to receive a meal, love, and support.

Who comes?
Individuals & families who are lonely, disabled, elderly, single parents, & those challenged emotionally, spiritually, or financially.

What will my kids do that evening?
Children of all ages will experience opportunities to connect and learn in a fun, caring environment while parents attend Care, Support, and Recovery Groups.

Do I need to register?
No. You are welcome to come any Tuesday!

Do I have to prove financial need to receive services?
No. If you feel that you are in need of services, then we are ready to bless you, no questions asked.



What goes on during the evening?
4:30–5 p.m. A refreshing time of praise, worship, and teaching
5–6 p.m. Enjoy a free dinner and tickets are distributed to shop at the Community Clothes Closet.
5:15–5:30 p.m. Inspirational sharing, music, and announcements.
5:45–6:30 p.m. Special services, shop at the Community Clothes Closet.
6:15-7:45 p.m. Care, support, and recovery groups meet. Children’s opportunities are available for them to connect and learn as well.



Aspiring Young Single Moms:
Single moms grow in their Christian walk as they raise their children, share struggles and joys, support, and pray for one another.

Career Connections:
One-on-one job assistance with cover letters, resume, and interview process for job seekers or those experiencing the loss of or change in employment.

* Celebrate Recovery:
Overcome issues that try to overcome you. Christian principles bring hope, health, and freedom from alcohol, drugs, food, gambling, pornography, smoking, spending, and depression.

* DivorceCare:
A special weekly group to support people who are separated or divorced. Children may attend Life Hurts.

Family and Friends of the Incarcerated:
Write letters to the incarcerated and provide support for those in our community who have a family member or friend in prison.

Finance Class:
Learn basic principles that will assist in following a budget, and a better financial future.

* Grandparents Raising Grandchildren:
Resources, support, prayer, and fellowship for raising grandchildren.

* GriefShare:
A caring environment to support and guide you through your grief experience after the loss of a loved one. The “Grief Share” study guide and video series is used in conjunction with small group support, discussion, and prayer.

Kids Count:
Christian mentors help children and young adults by being a Godly role model and by providing support and encouragement through various activities.

Latino New Friends:
A gathering to share resources and meet new friends.

Life Hurts:
For teens who are challenged by issues such as drugs, alcohol, divorce, abuse, depression, or peer pressure.

Spanish & English Bible Study:
Study God’s Word and worship in the English and Spanish language.

Uniquely Made:
Support for the individual, social, and spiritual needs of anyone who is developmentally, physically, or emotionally challenged.

Victories Over the Struggles of Life:
Gender specific groups receive support and prayer during challenging times.
